Best Bloody Mary In Iowa & Onto The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival

For the second year in a row, our Bloody Mary has been chosen Best In Iowa and we were asked to participate in the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival!  We will be competing live at the Chopped Best Bloody Mary Brunch on Saturday, October 18.  Stay tuned for the results.

 

Over 2,000 entries were submitted and ABSOLUT found the country’s top twelve bartenders and brought them to NYC to shake, stir and pour the spiciest, most elaborate and delicious bloodies in the 50 states!

 

State winners and finalists were chosen based on a number of factors – the number of votes participants received were just one level in the judging. Recipes were further judged based upon recipe originality, accuracy and presentation based upon the photograph submitted with the recipe.

Top 25 Great American Beer Bars

Great-American-Beer-Bars-2014We are beyond humbled.  In September, CraftBeer.com—the Brewers Association (BA) website for beer lovers—surveyed its audience for its annual list of Great American Beer Bars.  More than 19,000 craft beer fans cast over 3,400 nominations for better beer bars this year and The Cellar Peanut Pub was named one of the Top 25 Beer Bars In The United States!

Is it our 42 craft beers on tap?  Maybe our Certified Beer Server pubtenders?  Our eclectic atmosphere?  Our dedication to bringing craft beer to South East Iowa?  Whatever it is, we call it love…thank you!

Winning At The NY Wine And Food Festival With The Food Network

Ted Allen loves Duffy’s Bloody Mary

In October 2013, Pub Nation nominated our made from scratch Bloody Mary as part of the contest “Thrillist’s 2013 Search For America’s Best Bloodys.”  We were able to travel to New York Food & Wine Festival where we competed against eight others from around the US.  After preparing 500 of our famous bloodies for the likes of Ted Allen and the cast of The Food Network’s Chopped, ours was voted second best in the nation and we took home the title of “Most Creative.
